Used C8 prices continue to drop

Didn't GM announce some time ago that ALL European GM appointed dealers were to 'lose' their 'distributorships' for Corvette in a "re-alignment of GM's non-USA Corvette specific dealer network"
Can't remember reading that? As GM approved Corvette dealers sell Caddys too (like IA) presumably it would inlude them too? If that was true, who's selling/servicing them?

What does everyone think about a USA spec C8 Z06 lhd in the Uk with reference to future value ??
I've had three Vettes over many years (C4, C6, C7). Visibility/LHD no problemo. But suspect visibility on a LHD C8 might be not too good? C8 is an encapsulating (?) car when you sit in it? LHD one might make it a problem? its a wide car as well, especially a Z06.

"Munich, Germany, 4 April, 2024 | AEC Specialty Vehicles (AECSV), a subsidiary of AEC Group, specializing in customized automotive solutions, is set to make waves in the automotive industry after being appointed as an authorized distributor for the Corvette brand in key European markets except for Sweden, Norway, Finland, the United Kingdom, and Ireland".

Maybe saying that they (or anyone else?) are not gonna be selling new Vettes in those (low sales?) countries listed inc UK?

Presumably that simply includes just EU spec/compliant LHD vehicles. With RHD markets including Japan, Australia (all presumably larger than the UK's) etc and future 'emerging' RHD markets like India and Pacific Rim a separate marketing/servicing/spares organisation makes some sense. There are 76 countries that are RHD.

Think we are talking GM "distributors" here. As you know in C6 times, Kroymans in Holland were the European distributor, including I believe for UK cars sold by Stratstones. They went bust. Dont know who the European distributor was after Kroymans if any, but Swedish Klintberg & Way did the parts distribution I think.

To destroy my theory above, see that another distributor was recently appointed for Norway, Sweden and Finland:

So based on that, not sure what the story is on UK cars? Australian market bigger than UK?/Doubt it?

I am reliably informed that AECSV is a Canadian owned company with no connection to the former UK based truck and bus manufacturer AEC.
As I write this there is no distributor appointed for Corvette in the UK. I'm also informed that there are also 120 cars (presumably 2024 spec' Corvettes) that have either 'landed', about to 'land' or 'land' at some point in the future on UK soil that seemingly do not have a UK distributor 'home' to go to!
Whilst other RHD markets would perhaps seem to be compatible with the UK requirements I'm told that the UK is the only market to require an exhaust particulate filter.

Keep in mind to watch on the 25th, this coming Thursday when GM announcement on the 2025 ZR1
Claims 780 HP.
How's that be on UK roads and traffic :)

If that is not enough balls for you, 1–2 years from that is the Zora rumored to be 1,000 HP !

Anyone want to guess what the sticker price will be, and the markup prices be for both of these ?

Yes, they were talkiing about those alleged 120 "on the way" cars on that C8 Corvette UK Facebook page, speculating if they were all UK cars or on the way somewhere else? Doesn't make sense to me? Just looked at that Facebook page. Craig at IA said 3 days ago:

"Hi All, I see there are a lot of questions surrounding what is happening in the future.
We are a fully functioning authorised Corvette Dealer and we have no plans on this changing. There has been some fairly big changes in Europe and this has delayed things somewhat for the UK. I am confident that I should have some updates soon (there is a lot of plates spinning behind the scenes).
I will update as soon as I possibly can".

I am sure I will have no problem selling my imported LHD LT3 C8 to a purist UK Corvette buyer when the time comes a few years from now. Loving the noise and the extra HP! ... and of course the lower road fund tax.
