I've been overhauling my 71's comprehensive vacuum system. All the control and actuating hardware has been checked and if necessary, replaced. Although everything works - wipers and headlights - I still have evidence of a vacuum leak so I've decided it's time to replace the hoses, which means that this lot.....

The current heat wave is making the hoses very supple so it would seem a good time to start replacement, however the same heat wave has reduced my brain to jelly o_O so perhaps a delay will be advisable.

Any tips on the tricky bits gratefully received.

Take your time. Also a copy of the pipe layout. Cross off each one as you fit it. Not easy but certainly doable with care.

The only tip I would give, is that on those really hard to get ones, ( headlight switch, headlight actuators) you fit a set of screw type clips. This will save grief later which I found to my cost on the headligiht switch.
