I've been overhauling my 71's comprehensive vacuum system. All the control and actuating hardware has been checked and if necessary, replaced. Although everything works - wipers and headlights - I still have evidence of a vacuum leak so I've decided it's time to replace the hoses, which means that this lot.....



....has to go in here.......



The current heat wave is making the hoses very supple so it would seem a good time to start replacement, however the same heat wave has reduced my brain to jelly so perhaps a delay will be advisable.

Any tips on the tricky bits gratefully received.

Take your time. Also a copy of the pipe layout. Cross off each one as you fit it. Not easy but certainly doable with care.

The only tip I would give, is that on those really hard to get ones, ( headlight switch, headlight actuators) you fit a set of screw type clips. This will save grief later which I found to my cost on the headligiht switch.
