Yes indeed . Drivers have to pass far more stringent exams , have regular assessments and rules exams , random drug and alcohol testing and medical examinations . And they have two long strips of steel to follow so they can`t get lost ! None of this sat nav nonsense !

Thats true, i forget about level crossings because we dont have them on the Bed Pan line.. the Peterborough Kings Cross line has some real scary ones.

Yup, i was out for a walk north of st neots somewhere a few years ago and we came to a small gate and then had to cross four lines of the mainline.. crazy.

There are several like like that along that stretch of main line and Helpston crossing north of Peterborough is even worse as it`s a junction and has six lines !!

Iām in Southam, Warwickshire. Probably took me more like 45mins in the end when you factor in the obligatory fuel stop

Ah ! Southham , the garden city of South Warwickshire , I know it well having driven through many many times over the years . Used play rugby against Southham RFC . Always a hard match as they were all young farmers . Strong th`arm and thick in th`ed !Iām in Southam, Warwickshire. I'll have you know that my ancestors were Vikings who wandered off down to Normandy, got fed up with the French, came over here and gave your Anglo-Saxon king one in the eye mate.

That was Harold who got one in the eye from the damned Frenchies ! My ancestors were ancient Britons , cunning old Celts to a man I`ll have you know ! My umteenth great great great grandfather fought alongside Boudicea ( Budda in Welsh ) when we Brits stood up against those damned Roman interlopers in the battle beside the Watling Street near Lactodorum . The Super Sausage Cafe is nearby and they all had a brew and a butty there before kicking off against Aulus Plautius and his lot .
