What championship are the C3s racing in?

They’re in HSCC Thundersports. If you mean Silverstone Classic then yes the series is running there. They’re won’t be an entry list out for a while yet. But when they’re is it’ll be on the HSCC site.

1st and 2nd in class, out of 2!

Thunder sports has 3 basic car types:

Prototypes/CanAm so Chevrons, Lolas McLaren.

Sports 2000 which was a 1970/80s prototype class with 2l pintos.

GT pre 1980 GT cars.

Id imagine it’d be a lot better supported at Silverstone.

I’ve got a water leak from the inlet manifold. So it’s going to have to come off. Hopefully the sump isn’t full of water!

Love how that McLaren CanAm (number 8) dwarfs everything else! One of my big regrets is never being able to see Can-Am at the time, but memories of standing behind some of them in the paddock at Goodwood during warm up still stand out!

That wasn’t racing on the Sunday.

Manifold off and with it resting on the valley wall with no gaskets there’s 15 thou gap between head and manifold so I’m guessing it’s not compressing the gasket. Will have to find someone to machine it.

Exactly, what an iconic and awesome machine that is....Just when you thought you were getting the power down well in your big block Corvette, the M8F blasts past like you were standing still! It was lapping faster than all but one of the Formula 5000 single seaters.
