Which style of rear window do you prefer for the Camaro’s James?
74 has the flat one, same as the earlier 70-73 models
75-77 has the larger curved sides, giving better rear side views.

75-77. Speaking of windows I really like the big side windows they probably feel great when rolled down with the air flowing!

I always liked pillarless coupes and thought that the XJC V12 was probably the coolest car Jaguar ever produced . Then there was `Big Bertha ` when BL went racing . (y) XJC.jpgBig Bertha.jpg

Yes, those XJ coupes were great. Dad had a lovely one in heather ( pale pink) with burgundy leather. Beautiful thing. I used it a couple of times, boy could it drink fuel. Made a yank look economical. You didn’t get far on those twin tanks.

No , but that V12 was as smooth as silk and a joy to look at . A real work of engineering art .

There are still relatively 'cheap' ways into the hobby, theres a 4th Gen Camaro on ebay for £2250 or best offer (so under £2000).
Not the most desirable Yank.. sorry, American Automobile and it needs a little bit of patching underneath but its not a lot of money for something you dont see every day.

I had a Daimler XJC when I was 20 so not so long ago. WAG66S.
this poor old coupe has just been put on eBay. Even in this sorry state, it’s still got the look.

Rust was the downfall of motors for years, you hardly ever see it nowadays. Probably due to not much metal in cars nowadays either.

Yes, that rust on the door bottoms was a very common site in the 70’s and 80’s . Had a s reg squadron blue XJ6 as a runaround for a while . That was alive with rust. Shame as it drove lovely.

That coupe also has the old wabasto roof. Always loved those.

Somebody will restore it I think.

I loved the old Wabasto roofs too . Back in the early 80`s I had a black TR7 with a Wabasto roof . It was almost like having a T -Top . :)
