Yah at the last one they HAD to choose a Corvette as we were in our own class. This next show I can see the Corvette being very lonely all day  Almost wishing I'd left the cherry bombs on it now :devilish:
I hadn't looked into the awards system from London Concours, so that's funny that you say all the 'vettes were in their own class. But how did that come about in the first place? Does someone from the LC events team contact the CCUK committee and say "send us your best 6" or similar?

At the Nationals last year in the 70th anniversary of Corvette Classic and Sportscar mag wanted a C1 - C8 line up for an article. LC asked for the same 8 Corvettes but Nigel - vetteheadracer can shed more light on the whole thing as he was the planner on both gatherings

The winning package last weekend was pretty tidy and included a car air freshener which is now in my daily beater and it's so nice I thought I'd find them on line and maybe get some for the Corvettes.

£160.00 each! Yes one hundred and sixty farking pounds for an air freshener :ROFLMAO:

I don't thinks so

Certainly more expensive than the £1 air freshners I get from Lidl or Aldi and stick em under the car seat.;) That's Aston Martin Superleggera ("super light") air freshner money/prices? ;) I knew that Superleggera was Italian for "super light" but had to look it up:

Product meeting:

Yah so we can have this stainless steel cage made in China and stuff some cheap smelly stuff in it for £7.85 and sell them to the rich suckers for £160.00

Approved, next..

if "eschewing all plastic" means there's no plastic involved then that is bull shit as the hockey puck size smelly was wrapped in plastic...

Only dissapointment with my C7 was the day I got it from Ian Allan. Opened the nice big leather wallet with the manuals/service book etc to see a big "Made in China" tab on it inside. Not enough cows in the US obviously?

Mind blowing what was on show. The Corvette line up held it's own though with lots of interest shown.

Not much competition there Stuart? :) Just a few old Astons, Bentleys, Jensens and Rolls Royces etc? :)

Yah hence my earlier comment that my Corvette might be lonely fellow that day and I might need a makeover 😁

I’ve always found those events tend to be a little “stuffy” especially towards American iron.
Too many Panama hats , blue blazers and red trousers for my liking . A friend of mine gets an invite most years to show his Series 3 V12 E Type that he has owned from new . It has been a Champion of Champions concours winner in the past . He has history files that make Encyclopedia Britannica look like mere paper backs and every petrol receipt and journey record since he took delivery !!! :geek:

When I was there last year on the Sunday, the Duke of Kent was there. See that the Club Trophy is "supported" by the Royal Automobile Club. President of the RAC is the Duke of Kent. You might be meeting the Duke, if he is presenting the prize? ;)
