April weather... We will meet again. I've decided to get rid of the roof rack I just prefer the cleaner look. Also ignore the boring black license plate I put on a california one. I want to make the exhaust tips shiny again.

Not sure what Easter yellow is James. The Panama yellow on the 1958 looked good, not too bright, not too pale. The sunfire yellow used on the mid year cars was a light pale colour and looked real good. Seen a few repainted a bright yellow over the years and IMO looks not right.
The bright yellow looks great on all C3’s, whereas a pale yellow IMO would look not right.
Bright yellow on C4’s and later looks great, and again a pale yellow would look drab.

The last picture shows the first corvette convertible since 1975, and only the 2nd Corvette to pace the Indy 500. All 1986 convertibles were listed as “Indy 500” pace cars regardless of colour. The actual car was as the picture , Yellow.
That pace car looks pretty tame compared to the ones used nowadays in terms of graphics. It was mostly only door graphics used to display the race .
It wasn’t until 1993 with the new GM F Body The Camaro Z28 used multi coloured decals for the first time
This is my dads 1993 Camaro.

I sort of like the colour, but those wheels 🤮

The colour is very similar to a special order for 4 ( I think) new 1962 corvettes that went to the Bahamas police force

The 1994 pace car Ford Mustang convertible went back to being a “plain Jane” with only door wording decals.

But good ole GM put the colour back on with the 1995 Corvette pace car.91244C15-48C6-47CD-BFE5-D715A7439D53.jpeg
