Here’s the 2nd man to walk on the moon.
Colonel “Buzz “ Aldrin.
Very much a Corvette fan all his life.
He celebrated his 93rd birthday last week by getting married.
Here he is in 1969 with his new corvette coupe.

Most of the pictures of the Astronauts on the moon surface are of Buzz, as Neil Armstrong was taking the pictures.
Colonel Armstrong only appears in two moon photos.

The white one is being restored by luna replicas on youtube. Not sure why the nose emblem is placed at the wrong height.

As Lunar replicas are not a restoration shop, they must be farming it out to people who know what they are doing. Might have been best to leave it as it was and just preserve it for what it was/is.

Interesting, you'd think the second man on the moon would have opted for a big block. Well, I'm assuming that's a small block based purely upon the bonnet / hood on it.

Indeed, especially as it only cost him $1 a year to lease, regardless of spec. He had a 427 coupe for 1967 same as Neil Armstrong. Perhaps he got fed up with putting gas in a BB so opted for a small block.

Maybe he was getting cheaper insurance until he had more experience of that amount of horsepower under his right foot 🤣

Thinking about why he’s got a small block as his daily, it could only be about the $ in his pocket being spent on running it. Why else would he have it.
For his $1 per year lease he could have whatever spec he wanted. I assume insurance was his responsibility? Rates for BB high horsepower motors were on the up. Gas was pretty steady in price as before the first oil crises, about 12cents a gallon.
He obviously had his reasons. Still a bloody nice car to be driving about in verticality FOC 😂
