It`s not perfect through and through and has the odd blemish here and there but in the right light it really does`pop ` as you say . It`s Ford Violet Metallic and does get lots of comments . I just got it under cover in time before a hail shower came down !!

Probably looks better in real life. The movie was pretty poor but I let it slide because it was free and the car chase at the end was cool.

The movie as a whole wasn’t that bad considering the era it was made in . Another car themed cheesy movie was Stingray from 1978, Staring a very young Chris Mitcham and a red mid year sting Ray convertible.
I’ve got it on VHS somewhere along with Corvette summer.
Another good movie from 1978 is dead man’s curve. The story of Jan and Dean. Jan Berry was a proper corvette guy, and the car features many C1 and C2 models. The only incorrect thing was his near fatal crash. In the film he’s driving a 1966 convertible which looked better for the crash into a stationary lorry. In reality he was in a 1966 coupe.

Re my post about vacuum headlights. I agree, the C3 deffo looks better with the popup headlights. I love it. I was just trying to find a "positive" about that Baldwin Motion Corvette that looked a bit funny - aka at least the owners don't need to worry about vac headlights.

Straight out of work and into the stingray roof off and had a blast. I put the stingray emblem on the pillar and think it looks really cool and works really well.
