Excellent stuff on the Nurburgring. Fantastic place to be and fun to drive. I've got a few photos from 15+ years back of my old 205 GTi on there, and maybe my FTO too. Sadly none of my C3 - I'd be broke from the petrol cost by the time I drove it to the 'Ring :ROFLMAO:. The C5 looks at home on the track.

The biggest relief must be returning home..........and thinking how careful you were with your own driving (so as not to 'total' the vette) but also that you wern't wiped-out by some over enthusiast AH out of control!

I bet that was a load of fun 👍! No brown trouser moments I hope !🤣👍
Nope, it was all good and I was steady throughout each session. I had nothing to prove... just a spirited self drive and a tick off the bucket list. I gave it a good kicking on the unrestricted Autobahn though :LOL::LOL:

It's such a lovely place as you know. Everyone is so polite and respectful. A beautiful part of the black forest with scenery you dream about forever.
I would of loved to of taken one of my 4 previous FTO's, they're very underrated cars. I had a GTO twin turbo I would of loved to take over there... but the Vette is an onwards and upwards car since them hahaha. I might take my Impreza next year... who knows 😬🤞

If I'm honest, I've had the car since April last year (2022) and had only covered 1700 miles in 18 months because I had nothing but issues regarding oil leaks, squeaks, rattles... even a snapped shifter cable presented itself!
So when I eventually sorted the whole car, it was a dream trip and I thought 'sod it'. I was going on holiday and after all that time owning the C5, I was for the very first time, totally confident that the car is as good as the day it came out the factory. SO I drove it as intended. I gave it hell for leather! I had a spirited drive all the way there, a spirited drive all the way home, and gave it a proper kicking on the Autobahn home... I did the same mileage in 1 week than I had done in 18 months of ownership (another 1700 miles) and the car didn't give me any issues at all. Which has made the holiday even better that after all the pain and upset I've went through, my hard work and persistence paid off which gave me one of the greatest holidays of my life so far 🥰

Nice car history you've had there! And yes, the Vette is definitely better than all of them

I'll have to tell the wife to cancel her pink Corvette order then. We were gonna have his and hers Corvettes - mine is blue, hers was gonna be pink. Oh well, I guess its for the good of all Corvette owners. :(

Having seen clips of the new Barbie film on the BBC news this morning I think there may be a surge in the popularity of pink Corvettes soon.;)
