No pulling power

Chuffer, where are you man... were all waiting for an update.
Yo Dude ! Here I am . Much of yesterday was spent toing and froing over at Williams Bros Speed Shop doing test drives and fine tuning the car as it was still not running quite right when I took it out on the road first thing and had picked up some crap in the fuel line . But OMG ! What an improvement now it`s sorted . It is like a totally different car and pulls like a runaway train . It hauls away from tick over and pulls effortlessly up through the 3 speed auto trans like it always should have done . No more knocking back into 2nd on the B&M Mega Shifter like I had to before to get her to pick up her skirts .
The final two miles to miles to home up the A43 was the only bit of dual carriageway but it was a revelation when I mashed the pedal to the carpet . :D Final tally of work done - Edelbrock Performer 600cfm carb , reset timing ( 12 degrees out  ) , EDL fuel rail , hoses and in line filter . Also new set of spark plugs too . Despite having fitted new plugs during a full service myself only 16 months and about 1000 miles ago , they were totally fowled up and shot due to the bad ignition / fueling . OK , so the piggy bank is a bit lighter but I am chuffed to bits . :)

Excellent stuff Chuffer. Glad to hear the car is running better. I wonder how much extra HP you are running now?

Definitely a lot more than were in the stable before . :D
Sounds like after I had mine in for a tune up on a rolling road - 50+ extra horses were found, and the car went vastly better for it. I also have an Edelbrock 600cfm like you as well.

Blimey - that alone will make a big difference to power. Do you know what they’ve set it at now? They might have altered the timing curve for you too maybe. Useful to get a note of all your settings.
Pleased to hear youve unleashed some performance 👍👍

The C3`s moment in the sun . It has made it onto Williams Brothers Speed Shop Facebook site . They asked if they could feature it and post my comments . I think they liked the car . (y)

The timing curve was not altered as that is taken up in the Hypertech Street / Strip dizzy already fitted on the car . The timing is now set at 34 degrees .

Your tuning guys certainly know what they’re doing and have got the car going well. It’s interesting they’ve gone with 34 degrees. I’m set at 38 degrees and thought that was the normal “all-in“ timing with UK pump fuel??

Most dizzy‘s add about 22 degree of mechanical advance so your initial will now be 12 degrees I reckon to give 34 total.

They should know their stuff for sure with all their experience in drag racing in the UK and US and engine builds . They hose 34 deg. ` All In ` for good reason I guess .
One brother races a Chevelle and the other brother a Nova SS by the way .
