For the younger lot like me, I did a quick internet "value of pound in previous year compared to today" check out of interest:
Galaxie for £180 in 1975 = £1,862.06 today.
Javelin for £485 in 1976 = £4,305.03 today.
Galaxie for £495 in 1977 = £3,792.67 today (which is odd, as its less than the Javelin in 76. I Guess 77 must have been a huge pound value drop)
Mustang for £2k in 1982 = £8,704.59 today.
Just imagine if we could buy all those fantastic cars today for even the low values I've converted above. Wow.
