Wow thats really good LT1 money, is this the one that had 60 odd k spent on its restoration ?Thats a lot to pay for a base model with a transplant motor but as the owner of a bumper C3 bring it on I say![]()
Yep, that’s the one.Wow thats really good LT1 money, is this the one that had 60 odd k spent on its restoration ?
Sounds like it and it does happen. A mate just sold his I think '82 that he spent 80k on. Got 25k but he would tell you and I agree, the pleasure he and his wife got over 20 plus years was worth it
Good plan , I am looking for a mk 1 mexico for around 5k !If doing a resto, choose your project vehicle wisely..
I know of a '67 L88 going for £3k that's all original, numbers matching, big tank and a former race car but I don't have 3kGood plan , I am looking for a mk 1 mexico for around 5k !![]()
Now you tell me!If doing a resto, choose your project vehicle wisely..
yes, great C3 but sometimes you just have to say meh, gimme the cashKeep it up early C3 sellers......chrome bumper C3's have long lagged behind C2's and its really about time they started to achieve more realistic prices.......mine is starting to look cheap in comparison now.........![]()
Few would get in as deep as you Tim. Props to youNow you tell me!![]()
Maybe for a mint '68 L71 but that appears to be a bunch of parts put togetherOddly the '71 is also still up for sale at the original dealers at the same (£72.5k) asking price.
Keep doing what you’re doing GavinPrices of C3 chrome bumper corvettes are certainly on the way up, my contacts in the states provide me with regular updates on them .I am currently doing a body on restoration on 2 72,s which I think will be more sensibly priced
You coming this year Steve? My '66 is on the club stand and the '65 on Classic American / Kingstown shipping stand.I saw it in the flesh at last years NEC Classic car show, where it was for sale at £72,500 on the Graeme Hunt stand. It had obviously had a restoration but I suspect it wasn’t done by someone in the know. At that price you expect attention to detail, but random holes in the fender grilles and body colour where chrome should be…..
