Never been to the London one, but go to the Hampton Court CdeE every year (September this year). In the grounds of Hampton Court Palace. Not sure which is the bigger/better one? I'm looking fwd to Sunday 1st September. American Car Day at Brooklands in the morning/Hampton Court CdeE in the aftermoon. Congrats again on the prize. If you get an invite to this event you have to go - spectacular best-of-the-best cars on display in a stunning cricket pitch setting in the heart of London
Don’t put your car down. It was obviously very well deserved. Well done. What a ride! 9 hours in fact including a quick stop off at EMC, thanks Gavin! If you get an invite to this event you have to go - spectacular best-of-the-best cars on display in a stunning cricket pitch setting in the heart of London. An oasis if you will.. some of the scenery wasn't half bad either *wink*
I think the judges were just stuck on the range of stunning Corvettes on show and said just give it to that one and lets move on
Great meeting everyone and hope you get well soon Robert
All the Corvettes were beautifully presented and all special in their own right but time and time again, people over the three days said the Corvette they most think of was the C3 shape. I took and displayed some of the original owner documents including the window sticker, warrantee leaflet that still has the Protecto plate, hand book and other stuff including a pile of dealer give-away’s that had never seen daylight. That lot blew the judge’s mind.Don’t put your car down. It was obviously very well deserved. Well done.
I think the corvette C3 in its various forms is “the” corvette in most people’s eyes. It seems to have been around forever and is soo recognisable.
Never had a C3, but yes that's definitely true. C3 chrome bumper a fabulous looking car!All the Corvettes were beautifully presented and all special in their own right but time and time again, people over the three days said the Corvette they most think of was the C3 shape.
I live round the corner from HC so go most years. Once in a lifetime opportunity to exhibit there and great for the car's history file. Especially given the high value cars it will be rubbing shoulders with.I have to take it to the Concours of Elegance, Hampton Court Palace now. I could say bugger off but I don't believe that would go down well![]()
I believe so, Robert is his name. Maybe Rob Tring can confirm for you via message or emailI live round the corner from HC so go most years. Once in a lifetime opportunity to exhibit there and great for the car's history file. Especially given the high value cars it will be rubbing shoulders with.
Was the c4 zr1 owner from the London Concours a forum member? Trying to find at least one other owner. Never met one.
Definitely! Was wondering if CCCUK guys were turning up? If so, what day(s)? Saturday and/or Sunday? Displaying in the grounds? Presume you have to turn up/park the car "early" for that, as in previous years? I live local and doing Brooklands American Car day on Sunday morning and HC in afternoon. Happy to do a taxi service from HC to Brooklands and back for anyone who fancies a trip to Brooklands in the morning.I have to take it to the Concours of Elegance, Hampton Court Palace now. You gotta do it?/No Brainer?/Easy win?The Club Trophy brings together award winning cars from the UK’s leading car clubs with the winning car invited, in the following year, to take part in the main Concours line up of 60 cars.
