I’ve seen them get broken when trying to take them off the fender, but never broken when still on the car. Very bad luck.

A lot of them probably have them on nowadays tho. Possibly one of the first things owners of 1968’s did when the fender badges appeared for the 1969’s

I went to the Railways 200 whistle off event at Bishops Lydeard on New Years Day. As predicted, the weather before NYD was excellent, the weather after NYD was excellent. Both days I have to work on. BUT on NYD itself when I had the day off and could have done any number of drives etc with my Corvette - of course it absolutely chucked it down that day. So I took the wife and child to Railways 200 in the family car, and proceeded to wake up the child. If you watch closely in the video on WSR facebook page of the whistle off, you can see in the bottom left hand side someone with a pushchair with moving away near the start. That's my wife's claim to fame :ROFLMAO:View attachment 28971
Here is a date for your diary CaptainK --- May Bank Holiday Weekend 2025 . The West Somerset Railway spring gala will be hosting LMS ` Jubilee ` class `Bahamas` . A cracking loco and a good performer so will be well worth seeing in action . It was the only `Jubilee ` fitted with a double blast pipe chimney in BR days . Take Little `Un along to see a proper engine !!! Bahamas.jpg
