I was at the London Classic Car Show for the weekend and on the Saturday I got talking to an American lady who had great knowledge about Corvettes, her and her husband currently have about 5 and have owned about 20 over the years. She told me she worked for Michelin and said that the best way to clean the lettering was to use soapy water and 1000 or 1500 grade glass/sandpaper. I have used the finest grade wire wool with soapy water and found this to be pretty good, she said the white is very thick and you are unlikely to damage it. She also mentioned that if the tyres were bought before 2020 (I think that was the year) and the lettering has browned you were entitled to a refund. I haven't investigated this so no idea if true or not, but she certainly seemed to know her stuff.Trouble is they are now junk. I bought a set of BFG's that the RWL turned brown sat in the garage so researched 'blooming' to death and made the change to redlines on the C3's. It's not just environmental controls that affects the tyre manufacture that causes the raised brown letter issue but controls on substances that would clean the oil off. Bleche White changed and is now useless, raceglaze the same. Would be interesting if Nigel would add his thoughts to this?
Rear view, not to good, but in both side shots looks very nice.
Not too keen on the position of those cibie spotlights, looks like a afterthought. Would look better fitted in/on the front nose.
Yep, it’s Buzz Aldrin. Is the guy walking between the C3 and Ford one of the famous astronauts?
