Did you know Chargers came as coupes or hardtops? Difference being the one had a fixed b-pillar and the other did not.
I may be wrong but I think you may be getting confused with Coronets and Road Runners, 68-70 Chargers didn’t come with fixed B Pillars. GM A Bodies also had two options, Drag racers loved them as they were stiffer.

By the way your Vette turned out great, can't wait to see it. Blue really suits it.

I guess I’m wrong. I could have sworn you could get a 70 Charger where the bit of chrome trim between the side windows didn’t roll down with the window. What about the 71-3 ones?

There’s probably not many people who use them every day nowadays. I was lucky enough to use them as daily’s back in the late 70’s 80’s & 90’s, then the fuel consumption stopped that. Mind you my 4-matic Merc onlydid 15/16 round town.
Dads 75 continental caught fire in 1977, destroying itself and a 1976 Trans Am parked next to it. Being fair it only destroyed one side of the T/A, the other side was fine. 😂
