Or rather what has Santa done for you today ? I am a very lucky boy and got a Corvette C1for Christmas .DSC_5166.JPG It`s a bit of a project as it came in boxes in lots of pieces : 1210 pieces actually so should keep me busy for quite a while in 2025.
My lovely daughter does spoil me !! 🥰

I met Idris the Welsh mythical giant in the mountains today . He had risen from his seat on Cadair Idris ( means Idris`s Chair in Welsh) and gone for a stroll .... gave me quite a scare !
Stunning weather today after early morning thick fog cleared and not a breath of wind giving perfect reflections of Tyrrau Mawr , part of the Cadair mountains range in the waters of Llyn Cregennan .DSCF3698.JPGDSCF3701.JPG
Legend has it that if you spend a night on the summit of Cadair Idris you wake up either a poet or a madman . I didn`t try it as my wife thinks I am crazy enough as it is ! 🤣

Met up with my 3 sisters and wandered around Dovestones reservoir in similar weather to say Merry Christmas to our mum in the garden of remembrance. As Louise drove into the car park her Fiat 500 was making an awful noise. Got any oil in that thing I asked? Blank stare was all I got... Not a hint of any oil on the dip stick despite her Husband - Lee saying he checked it three days ago. Called into the first petrol station and dumped a couple of litres in (only holds 3.2) to get her home and hey presto clacking & clanking gone

Went to our local classic car club meet at the Locksheath Centre, very good turn out, over 200 vehicles ranging from a Ford Model T to a brand new Aston Martin and everything in between, icluding a Bugatti, various rat rods, British Fords etc and even something that would probably excite Chuffer ;) Here's a link if anyone is interested, I'm not very good at this so hope it works.

No chance of sunny vistas here today , can`t see the bottom of the mountains never mind the tops as fog is a thick as a sack !!!

Wow ! What a great turn out , love that Fowler Road Roller .👍
I am keeping fingers crossed for a fine day on New Years Eve for the traditional `Vintage Stoney ` gathering at Stoney Stratford . Always a big turn out that fills the centre of town .

I went to Cornwall with my wife and newborn to stay with my folks. First Christmas for the child, so the grandparents were super excited to see the child for a few days. I took the opportunity to catch up on sleep whilst they were entertaining the child. I've yet to do a direct comparison to see if the child or the C3 is louder.

Same here but after two years in our new crib I've gotten used to it (don't particularly like it) living inside the cloud this time of year. Roll on Spring

I got up nice and early today to do a major service on my KTM so that it's ready for the new year (plus it's due its major service).
I aimed to have that all boxed off for lunch and then I can carry on with stripping, cleaning and regreasing the brake components on my C5 Targa so that will be ready for the new year also.

It's now 3:30pm, and I'm only this far in to it 🤦‍♂️

But the Corvette is going to have to wait until tomorrow now 🙃😅

Went on the 'Cold Turkey' run to Cromer in Norfolk with a bunch of American/classic yank motors today. Good to catch up with Bob & Jackie Regis. It was very damp but some interesting metal there...20241228_111412.jpg20241228_111443.jpg
